Teacher:        Pastor Gideon Lee
Class Title:      “Toon Time” – Computer/Coding

We are excited to welcome Gideon, a tech whiz and a former software developer! With a degree in computer science from MIT and years of experience in the field, Dr. Gideon is the perfect person to teach your elementary schooler how to create their own animations. In his talk, “Toon Time,” Gideon will introduce the 7 best animation software options for kids to use in 2023. With Gideon’s guidance, your child will learn how to create fun, exciting animations to share with their buddies and family. Teacher:        Pastor Ching Wa Lee
Class Title:      “Young Warriors: A Summer of Kung Fu Adventure” – Kung Fu

Our summer camp is excited to feature Ching Wa Lee, a martial arts expert who will be teaching Chinese Kung Fu. With years of experience teaching Kung Fu for young people in Hong Kong, Ching Wa is also a second-generation disciple of Master Ip Man in “Wing Chun”. His class will inspire young people to learn about Chinese Kung Fu, gain self-discipline, and have fun. Make sure you join us for this one-of-a-kind chance to learn from a genuine master! Through teaching Chinese Kung Fu, Ching Wa hopes to not only introduce the physical techniques but also the cultural significance behind them, inspiring students to cultivate discipline, respect, and determination.

Teacher:        Pastor Paul Sin
Class Title:      “Survival 101: How to Thrive in the Great Outdoors and Urban Environment” – Survival Skills.

Paul, a former US Army serviceman, is bringing his extensive experience in survival skills to our summer camp. As a pastor at our church, Paul has a passion for serving young people and helping them to develop practical life skills. With his military background, Paul is uniquely equipped to teach young campers how to thrive in both outdoor and urban environments. In his exciting and practical class, ‘Survival 101: How to Thrive in the Great Outdoors and Urban Environment’, your child will have the opportunity to learn from a true expert in the field. It is time to equip your child with valuable skills that will last a lifetime.”

Teacher:        Terry Chan
Class Title:      “The Math Mindset: Strategies and Tricks for Easer Math” – Math Tricks

Get ready to meet Dr. Terry, a university professor who teach Finance and Statistics.  Terry’s talk, “Mathematics Tricks”, is specifically designed to help elementary students understand and enjoy mathematics. With his secret stash of mind-bending tricks, your child can master mathematical concepts in a fun and joyful way.  Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity and let your children to have a newfound love for mathematics.

Teacher:        Sally Leung
Class Title:      “The Foodie Adventure: Discovering Nutrition in a Fun Way” – Nutrition

Join Ms. Sally for a week fun learning basic nutrition through games and activities. Kids will study different food groups, learn about portion size and read the food labels. Throughout the week, kids will be guided to make good choices for snacks and meals. They will get some tips on how to stay fit and healthy. Kids will also have a chance to make some simple healthy snacks to enjoy in the class as well.

Teacher:        Jacky Huang
Class Title:      “Art Attack: A Summer of Fun and Creative Expression” – Arts and Crafts

Arts and Crafts camp is taught by Mr. Jacky from Jacky’s Art Studio in Pleasanton. Different media of drawing and painting will be taught. Students will also be inspired to build art pieces with different materials. 

Teacher:        Amy Deng
Class Title:      “Discovering the Riches and Beauty of the East” – Chinese Culture Stories and Activities

Amy is passionate about Chinese customs and has emersed herself in cultural experiences for many years.  We are excited to introduce Amy to be our speaker for the Summer Program. With her passion for Chinese customs and years of cultural immersion, Amy is dedicated to inspiring children to learn and develop their language skills through interactive activities such as music, ancient poems, and visual arts. Her teaching approach is tailored to each student’s unique personality and interests, allowing them to discover life lessons and wisdom from China’s greatest classics and learn Chinese idioms and proverbs with their origin stories.
