Oikos家庭小組正在為柬埔寨的豐榮女子學校舉行義賣捐款。上周母親節已經籌集了超過$1500。義賣的禮品完是孩童手工，既可送贈朋友家人表達關懷，又可幫助柬埔寨一些女孩子提供教育機會!
李業基牧師和師母過去一周到訪香港，主要是為了參加金門神學院(Gateway Seminary)與香港馬鞍峰教會(Saddleback Church, Hong Kong)協辦的神學必備碩士班(Master of Theological Essentials)首屆畢業典禮。匯點多年來是金門和馬鞍峰的國度事工夥伴，所以能夠見到26名學員經過充滿挑戰的三年完成課程，沒有一位中途放棄，22人以優異(Distinction)的成績畢業，深感欣慰。今年夏天，第四批的MTE準備開始，四屆的總學生人數已有超過100！香港馬鞍峰教會確實蒙神恩手拖帶，自大概10年前開始，有800多人透過他們受浸，現在聚會的總人數與匯點教會相若，租用的設施位于長沙灣一棟住宅樓的會所比Milpitas匯點小，本周卻宣布了一個計劃，要在英國為香港移民建立十幾間分堂。追求夢想勇氣可嘉!
與金門神學院的合作也令人興奮。曾任洛杉磯第一華人浸信會主任牧師多年的黃守謙博士(Dr. Benny Wong)，將在新學年接替簡英材博士博士(Dr. Martin Chien)，擔任中英雙語所主任。在簡博士的帶領下，中英雙語所從零增長到180名學生，並且在台北和北京開始了兩個類似馬鞍峰的MTE。黃博士必定能夠幫助中英雙語所更上一層樓，回應美國華人教會的領袖需求。順便一提，黃博士將在本周四講授下一堂保羅人生觀課程。萬勿錯過!
與金門協辦的匯點事工領袖學院CIOML將在今年秋季慶祝三周年。夏季學期CIOML提供新約聖經詮釋學和建立門徒兩門課程，下周開始，報名從速。有任何問題請聯絡李業基牧師。今年秋季開始，CIOML將加增透過預錄視頻的獨立自修在線課程，以便照顧個別需要。可以在這裏閱讀最新的CIOML消息。

The families with the Oikos life group are raising fund for the Pleroma School for Girls in Cambodia by selling goodies made by kids. Over $1500 was raised last week on Mother’s Day. Send your love to friends and family by buying a gift from the table while helping to support the education of a young girl in Cambodia!
Pastor Gideon and Irene have been visiting Hong Kong this past week, occasioned by the first graduation ceremony of Gateway Seminary’s Master of Theological Essentials cohort at Saddleback Church, Hong Kong. Crosspoint has been a kingdom partner of both Gateway and Saddleback, so it is thrilling to see this MTE cohort of 26 students completing their studies — with 22 graduating with distinction and zero dropouts after three very challenging years. Their MTE program is starting its fourth cohort this summer and over 100 students have enrolled across the four cohorts. With 800+ baptisms since they began nearly 10 years ago, Saddleback HK has certainly experienced the gracious hand of God. They have a membership slightly larger than Crosspoint although its rented facility, a clubhouse floor in a residential building in Cheung Sha Wan, is smaller than Crosspoint Milpitas. This week, they have announced a plan to plant more than a dozen of churches in UK for Hong Kong emigrants. They have the courage to dream big!
We are also excited by our partnership with Gateway Seminary. Dr. Benny Wong, who served many years as Senior Pastor at the First Chinese Baptist Church of Los Angeles, will succeed Dr. Martin Chien as the director of the Chinese-English Bilingual center in the new academic year. Under Dr. Chien, CEB has grown from zero to 180 students and two new MTE centers like the one in Saddleback HK are being started in Taipei and Beijing. Dr. Wong will surely take this further, especially in addressing leadership needs with Chinese churches in the USA. By the way, Dr. Wong is teaching the upcoming session of the Pauline Life view series this coming Thursday. Don’t miss it!
CIOML, a Gateway extension center operated at Crosspoint, will celebrate our third anniversary this Fall. This Summer term, we are offering courses in New Testament exegesis and Making Disciples. Classes will start next week. Please register if you are interested and contact Pastor Gideon if you have any questions. Starting this Fall, CIOML will add online independent study as an option so that more courses can be made available. You can read the latest CIOML news here.
