牧人心語

上星期日，有好幾位弟兄姊妹來對我說：牧師，辛苦你了。我對他們說：我不辛苦，是弟兄姊妹辛苦了。特別是Fred弟兄和他的服事團隊，還有幫忙安排筵席的Iva姊妹和教會辦事處的同工們，負責統籌家庭同樂日的領袖和弟兄姊妹，推動湘海音樂佈道會的國語同工們，還有還有⋯⋯我這樣做太危險了，一定會漏掉一些我應該多謝他們的人，例如我們當中的年輕人。

不過，我絕不能不向天上的父神揚聲感謝和讚美祂的美善。祂看顧並保守自己的教會 25年，並不嫌棄我們的不足和軟弱，願意繼續使用我們，不斷向我們印證祂的同在。就是在我們感恩聚餐當晚，也藉著黃正傳道帶領了一個剛參加Pleasanton聚會不久的姊妹即席決志信主。榮歸真神！

現在各個分堂的教牧同工們正密鑼緊鼓地和他們的義工領袖籌組明年的事奉團隊，並開始計劃明年各個堂會的事工。我們教會在踏入第26年這個轉折點，極需要大家起來一起服事上帝、那位極愛我們的神。

我們將在十一月廿三日在Pleasanton 分堂舉行國語 101課，而粵語的 101課則會在十一月卅日在Milpitas主堂舉行實體上課，時間均為下午二時至四時。請鼓勵已決志信主或考慮加入匯點大家庭的弟兄姊妹報名參加。

這星期日，十一月十六日下午在Milpitas主堂有英語浸禮，歡迎出席觀禮。

凡以感謝獻上為祭的便是榮耀我；那按正路而行的，我必使他得著我的救恩。（詩篇 50:23）

• 感謝神，上週日我們舉行了令人振奮的25週年紀念崇拜，感恩節晚宴也充滿了美好的團契。願神得榮耀，使我們更感恩。
• 請為新按立的牧師們禱告，願神對他們呼召的肯定激勵他們。祈求神賜給他們異象，使他們能鞏固和發展在匯點教會的事工。
• 請為所有牧師同工禱告，他們正忙於招募人員擔任不同的事工職位。求神引導他們組成有效的事工團隊，幫助支持和發展各項事工。
• 請為新信徒和初次來到教會的人禱告，願他們藉著浸禮表達信心，並決定加入教會。
• 請為半島宣教事工和特雷西宣教事工禱告，他們計劃在感恩節期間有社區外展活動。求神祝福他們，並提供人力和物力。

From the Heart of a Shepherd

Last Sunday, several brothers and sisters came to me and said, “Pastor, thank you for your hard work.” I told them, “I’m not the one who worked hard; it’s the brothers and sisters in Christ who worked really hard for the special events.” Especially Brother Fred and his ministry team, Sister Iva and the church office staff who helped arrange the banquet, the leaders and their helpers who coordinated the family fun days, the Mandarin-speaking staff who helped promote the Xianghai Evangelistic Concert, and so on… It’s too risky for me to name the people…; I’m bound to forget some people who helped a lot such as the young people whom I should thank.

However, I absolutely cannot fail to proclaim my thanks and praise to God our Father in Heaven for His goodness. He has watched over and protected His church for 25 years, not rejecting our shortcomings and weaknesses, willing to continue using us, and continually confirming His presence to us. Even on the night of our thanksgiving dinner, Pastor Zheng Huang led a sister who had recently attended the Pleasanton worship service to make an impromptu decision to accept Jesus as her Savior. Glory to God!

The pastors and staff of each church campus are currently working diligently with their volunteer leaders to put together ministry teams for next year. And they have begun to planning the ministries for their campus. As our church enters its 26th year, a pivotal moment, we desperately need everyone to rise up together serving the God who loves us so dearly.

We will be holding our Mandarin 101 class on November 23rd at our Pleasanton campus, while the Cantonese 101 class will be held in person on November 30th at our Milpitas main campus, both classes are from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Please encourage brothers and sisters who have decided to believe in the Lord or are considering joining the Crosspoint family to register for attending the class.

This Sunday, November 16th, there will be an English baptism at our Milpitas main church. All are welcome to observe the ceremony.

“He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifies me; and to him who walks in the right way, I will bring him to my salvation.” (Psalm 50:23)

Prayer Requests

• Praise God for an uplifting 25th anniversary worship service and the great fellowship at the Thanksgiving banquet last Sunday. May God be glorified and make us become more thankful.
• Pray for the newly ordained pastors that the affirmation for their call from God energized them. Pray that they would receive God’s vision for strengthening and developing their ministry at Crosspoint Church.
• Pray for all the pastoral staff as they are busy recruiting people to serve at various ministry positions. Ask God to guide them to put together effective ministry teams to help support and develop the ministries.
• Pray for the new believers and those who are new to the Church that they will express their faith through baptism and decide to join the Church.
• Pray for the Peninsula Mission and Tracy mission as they have planned to reaching out in their community during the Thanksgiving season. Ask God to bless them and provide manpower and the resources.
