牧人心語

今早做靈修時，提醒我們凡事若都從負面去看，帶來的情緒反應就像一株雜草，會奪走我們的感恩、正確的思維以及積累的生命力。負面情緒從來無法啟發人心、產生生命力，或帶來任何正面的事物，它只能帶來破壞。而我們最常用來舒發情緒的渠道，就是我們的口舌。

箴言十八章的作者提醒我們：舌頭掌管死與活，愛它的人（就是愛把弄這權柄的人）必食其果（環聖）。

我相信我們都不會承認自己把弄這權柄，但很多時候，我們是不經意地將自己心中的感覺藉著言語表達出來，沒有考慮別人聽見後的感覺和解讀。「我不同意」這句話，聽見的人可能會有不同的看法和感受。有人會覺得「你不接受，」有人覺得「你反對，」有人覺得「你不合作，」其實是你心中仍有疑慮，或覺得不被尊重，並不是反對或不合作。但負面的表達方式往往會在火上添柴。箴言二十六篇說得好：沒有柴，火就熄滅；無人抱怨，紛爭就止息。（箴言 26: 20）環聖

求天父幫助我們，讓我們能學會不對人和情況說負面的話，特別當我們和同事、朋友相處或回到家裡的時候。求天父幫助我們，讓我們總是選擇說鼓勵、感恩、和關愛的說話。我們對人對事物的觀點、感覺、和情緒反應都不同，但我們若學會多講正面、鼓勵和關愛的說話，不散播負面情緒，我相信我們會更享受我們的生活，別人也會更喜歡我們。

主內的弟兄姊妹，我們在辦公室、在家裡或在朋友圈中，我們帶給人的是正能量多一點還是負能量多一點？

我們常常犯錯誤。那在言語上沒有過錯的便是一個完全人；他能夠完全控制自己。（雅各書 3: 2）現中

• 1. 感謝讚美神賜給我們一個極愉快的週末，讓我們各個堂會的弟兄姊妹能利用世界盃足球總決賽聚首一堂，享受團契生活。
• 2. 為這星期在Pleasanton舉行的兒童運動日營祈禱。求神使用Pastor Hankin，Pastor Caleb Wan和外援，幫助小朋友藉著各類活動建立情誼，並認識耶穌的愛。求主賜平安。
• 3. 為過去幾個月曾到訪我們不同堂會的新朋友祈禱。讓他們考慮選擇匯點作為他們屬靈的家。也求神激勵眾弟兄姊妹能繼續邀請新朋友參加教會的崇拜和小組。
• 4. 為Pastor David Choi祈禱。求神加添智慧和洞察力，知道如何著手聯繫家長和擴展青少年事工。
• 5. 為在暑期中遠行的弟兄姊妹祈禱。求賜喜樂平安，無論他們到那裡去，都不忘為主做見證，把握機會分享信仰和基督的愛。

From the Heart of a Shepherd

This morning during my devotions, I was reminded that viewing everything negatively leads to emotional reactions that are like a weed, robbing us of gratitude, sound thinking, and accumulated vitality. Negative emotions can never inspire, generate vitality, or bring anything positive; they can only cause destruction. And the channel we most often use to express our emotions is our mouth.

The author of Proverbs 18 reminds us: “The tongue holds life and death; those who love it will reap its fruit.”

I believe none of us would admit to wielding this power, but often we inadvertently express our feelings through words, without considering how others will feel or interpret them. Saying “I disagree” can evoke different reactions and feelings in others. Some might think, “You don’t accept it,” others, “You oppose it,” or “You’re not cooperating.” But what you meant, it’s only a matter of lingering doubt or a feeling of disrespect, not necessarily opposition or non-cooperation. But negative expressions often only add fuel to the fire. Proverbs 26 says it well: “Without wood, the fire goes out; without complaints, strife ceases.” (Proverbs 26:20)

Heavenly Father, help us to learn not to speak negatively about people and situations, especially when we are with colleagues and friends or at home. Heavenly Father, help us to always choose to speak words of encouragement, gratitude, and love. We all have different perspectives, feelings, and emotional reactions to people and situations, but if we learn to speak more positive, encouraging, and loving words, and not to spread negative emotions, I believe we will enjoy our lives more, and others will like us more.

Brothers and sisters in Christ, in the office, at home, or in our social circles, do we bring more positive energy or more negative energy to others?

James says: We often err. He who has no fault in speech is perfect; he has complete control over himself. (James 3:2)

Prayer Requests

• Praise be to God for giving us such a wonderful weekend, allowing brothers and sisters from our various church campuses to gather together and enjoy fellowship during the World Cup finals.
• Pray for the youth sports camp this week in Pleasanton. Ask God to use Pastor Hankin, Pastor Caleb Wan, and other support staff to help the children build friendships and come to know the love of Jesus through various activities. Pray for safety as well.
• Pray for the new friends who have visited our different campuses over the past few months. May they consider choosing Crosspoint as their spiritual home. Also, pray that God will encourage our brothers and sisters to continue inviting new friends to church worship and life groups.
• Pray for Pastor David Choi. Ask God to grant him wisdom and insight in knowing how to reach out to parents and expand youth ministry.
• Pray for the brothers and sisters traveling during the summer. Ask God to grant them joy and peace. And wherever they go, may they not forget to witness for the Lord and seize opportunities to share their faith and the love of Christ.
