1. This Sunday is Easter! We will be helping serve in the Easter Egg Hunt by making balloon art and our magic tricks! Make sure you practice!!

Announcements for 04/14

1. Life Group this Sunday! We will gather together to learn how to make balloon animals, do simple magic tricks, so that we can serve together this Easter! Hope to see you all there!
2. Lock-In, Friday April 26th to Saturday April 27th! Reserve your time to come. Sign-up here!

Milpitas Announcements:
1. NO LIFE GROUP this Sunday!
*jr high boys have an event planned – check with kids for details
2. LOCK-IN schedule for 4/26. More details to come!
3. EASTER VOLUNTEER. We will have an Easter Egg Hunt at Church on Easter Sunday, April 21st during Youth Group. We are looking for youth to volunteer to help interact and play with the kids. We are looking at making balloon animals and simple magic tricks (we will teach you!). We will have sign-ups this Sunday.

Milpitas Announcements 02/10/2019

1. REMINDER! English Service starts at 9:30am! 

2. Youth Life Group will be meeting at 11:15-1:00 after 1st service. We will finish our series in the book of Galatians!

3. Youth Winter Retreat is next weekend! Stay tuned for instructions and what to bring!

4. Youth BBQ Sunday February 24th during Second Service! Come out for food and fun!

Updates for 01/09/19

  1. Youth Life Group this Sunday, 2-4pm. We are continuing our series in the book of “Galatians”. Come join us!
  2. Youth Hour this Sunday during Second Service! Please bring $2 for lunch! Youth Hour will end in February.
  3. Winter Retreat is February 16-18! We will be at Camp Campbell with Pastor Brian as our guest speaker. Early Registration ($200) ends THIS SUNDAY 1/13, afterwards it will be $225. Registration deadline is January 27, 2019. Register here!

1. Life Group this Sunday!  We are kicking off a new series on the book of Galatians. Come learn about how the gospel gives us freedom and changes our whole lives!
2. Youth Hour this Sunday during Second Service, 11:30-12:30! Come join us for food and fellowship!

IGNITE! – XP Youth Winter Retreat 2017

ABOUT RETREAT
We’re learning to love God and love each other by letting God ignite our hearts with zeal for Him!
This year’s theme is Ignite: Romans 12:11, and we have an excellent speaker to share more about the topic (see below).

Youth will be together for worship (singing), games, eating, and the learning time.  They will be with peers for small groups and bedtime.

SPEAKER BIO – Joseph Sevier

Joseph has a major passion to impact the world through relationships, leadership, & transformation. His unique approach & message have been shaped by his international experience, service to youth & families, & market place work. Joseph served as a founding leader & pastor for Living Hope Christian Center in Emeryville for 12 years, has ministered in 5 different countries, and currently works as a Service Coach with Texas Roadhouse Inc.

Joseph & his lovely wife of 6 ½ years, Andrea, live in Emeryville, Ca. His wife works as a Social Worker with Kaiser Hospital. They share a heart to build up the next generation, invest in their community, & inspire those around them to dream big. It is their desire to help this generation live out their God-given potential, pursue great dreams, & bring about cultural transformation through their lives and work.

ABOUT the location

SUNSETS FOR DAYS

 Zephyr Point on the beautiful Lake Tahoe is the ideal setting for quite prayer, reflection, and fun in the snow!
We will be staying in cabins with three or four rooms each with youth of our same age and gender.
There will be one or two counselors in each cabin, and we will all share meals and meeting times at the nearby cafeteria and conference room.
The food is AMAZING.
packing list
  • Bring your Bible, a pen, a journal, WARM clothing, snacks, your toiletries (toothbrush and deodorant), towel, sleeping bag, shoes that can get muddy, an open heart and a good attitude!
  • DO NOT bring weapons, drugs, alcohol, electronics
  • CELL PHONE POLICY: Use for pictures only please – if, at any time, cell phones are used in a way not glorifying to God or edifying to brothers and sisters, I will confiscate and BURN them (well, confiscate at least)Camp rules: All campers must—
    • Be on time
    • Ask before leaving the group
    • Respect the schedule of activities
    • Be kind!
    • Be respectful to all leaders and consider others before yourself
    • Be willing to talk to a counselor/leader for to resolve issues
    • Do not enter cabins of the opposite sex 
    • Use a plunger, deodorant, and toothbrush… PLEASE

BAPTISMS – Our first round of Pleasanton baptisms in the new building will be November 20!

YOUTH BAPTISM CLASS will be held at 5:30 at the new building Oct. 21, Oct. 28, and Nov. 4 – come with your questions, even if you have not yet decided to be baptized, you are welcome to join!
